The Accidental Witch began as a place to explore the quiet magic that lives in everyday thresholds- the shifting of seasons, the language of plants, the stories that rise through meditation and imagination, and the subtle transformations that shape our lives.My work moves between poetry, stream-of-consciousness writing, personal reflection, and short fiction. I’m drawn to symbols, mythic patterns, and the quiet wisdom of the natural world- from the bending grace of Willow, to the protection of thorns, and the magic of hedges. This space is both a creative studio and a gathering place for those who feel called to wonder.

Liz Prior is a writer, witch, and creator of The Accidental Witch, a creative space devoted to liminal writing, everyday magic, and quiet exploration. 

Her work moves between poetry, personal reflection, and short fiction, often drawing on mythic patterns, plant wisdom, and the subtle thresholds that shape everyday life.

She is particularly interested in the spaces between- where imagination and reality meet, where transformation begins, and where curiosity can be held gently.

Through her writing, Liz invites readers to slow down, wander, and reconnect with the quiet magic that lives just beneath the surface of the ordinary.
